Serenity Updates #1

Morning Everyone!

         With the warmer weather comes a busier RL it seems. Hubbie’s been home a lot more too, so we have been doing some work on the RL house. (I think I’m getting a Cedar front porch! Woot! Best part??? It’s going to be from Recycle telephone poles!!!)

 Anywho… Really wanted to just clear up a bit of confusion. Yes, the Main Shoppe is gone for now. Yes, Oak Tree Shoppes has closed and been sold off. No, I am not around much. But… I did not leave. I’m still here working in PSP when I can and hoping to get some new stuff out within a couple of weeks.

It’s more of a hiatus really.

So Much to Share!

What is one major thing I have learned in the past month about design?

When blogging, it’s best not to save it all up for one huge*ss post once a week. lol… Practice makes perfect huh?

I swear I will try and work on this aspect before I get shot…lmao. I’ll try to keep this as short as I can and space some pics out over the next few days.

First up… I would like to announce that Sway has been awesome and let me open up a small shop in her Village! Now, if you have never been to Sway’s Village… run! This is a must visit! (And I’m not saying that because of the new shoppe. ) What this lady can do with Sculpties and animations is mindblowing!

Wicked Busy Weekend @ Serenity Style!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

    Wow, what a week! As many of you know, I closed EC&M and opened Serenity Style  last Saturday. It was a wild transition, but I think it is for the best. So far the response to the change over has been positive.   Looks like it’s going to be a very busy weekend so I’m sorta of taking a momment to do a “get-caught-up-here’s-what’s-coming” entry.

Before I get into the hunt or item info stuff, it’s important to touch base on what’s been happening in Victoria and ask everyone again… If you haven’t stopped by a participating fundraiser… please do! You can find a full list of who & where from Dakota Buck’s Blog.

I have set out ~Phoenix~ @ both Serenity Style locations, but there are lots of AMAZING items all over the grid to chose from.

Next on the list of importance:

The Kid’s Grid-Wide Hunt!    This should be a fun one. The theme was “My Favorite Things” and we were asked to run with it. The Hunt starts Friday the 13th @ midnight and runs until March 14th. As far as I know, there are at least 43 designers paticipating. You can find out more @ The Kid’s Grid-Wide Hunt!

 

Ok… now for some New Release info:

 

All Store Cards are still 50% OFF till .. what the heck… say Sunday? Sounds far to me. (has going to say Saturdy… but what the heck…lol) You can find the Store Card Dispensor in the center of the Main Floor of the Oak Tree Shoppes Location ONLY!  

I still have the Lucky Dip out as well, and someone told me they actually won a free store card from the silly thing. Please note the I use MultiVendors with the Store Card, so if you want to use a card, please make sure to WEAR the card and TOUCH the “CARD” Button. You can pay linden by Right clicking and selecting Pay as normal.

 

Starting Tomorrow (I hope) I will start featuring one of the New Releases each day. (until I have to run and make new stuff…lol… opps… to late)

Late night short entry…

Evening All… No pics this post. Just touching base to let you guys know how the change over is coming.  The EC&M Apparel Building is no more. A vaccant lot sits there… whimpering.

The New building will go in tomorrow & I can get started setting things up. I have a few of the Vendors ready… still a lot left to fill. Gotten bitten by the “need to doodle” bug and ended up making about 6 fun new Do-da’s. Mostly Lucky Dip silly stuff.

So… all in all, the change over is going well at this point and I hope to stay on track for Saturday Afternoon. (I’m on EST not SLT) I will try to list the Grand Opening in Events if I can.

It’s that time… *holds breath*

 

Greetings & Namaste Everyone,

     It’s finally that time. After many hours in the workshop, the new Brand is Ready!!! The offical closing of EC&M Apparel will take place this morning to clean up the area where I will be placing ~Serenity Style~ . 
    Last night I officially opened the Serenity Group “Serenity Seekers”.
   It is open admission and totally free to join if you would like an in-world tag. I will be sending out Group Freebies and gifts via Subscribomatic, as well as, in world Group as I understand that the 25 group limit makes it hard on everyone.

Re-opening info:

Feb 5, 2009 ~ Closing and clean-up of EC&M  Apparel.
                            
Feb 6, 2009 ~ Installation of new building and
                              set-up. (Set-up of store cards,
                               placement of vendors, etc.)
                             
  *It’s gonna be a long day and you are welcome to come on by and get a sneak peek. (I’ll leave some snacks out)

Feb 7, 2009 ~ Grand Re-opening!!! (prob. mid to late afternoon) Lots of fun stuff! Lucky Chair, Camp chairs, and even a Lucky Dip! 
                           
** There will be snacks and music, plus….
            All Store Cards will be 50% Off!

Sneak Peek at New Releases

Re-opening Update

Greetings & Namaste Everyone!

** Update ** Re-Opening date has been pushed back to Feb 7. Sorry for the delay. There is still a bit left to do, but I swear I am busting butt to get it all done.

        Happy New Year!  *smiles* I have some (I hope) exciting news to share. I’m jazzed and I hope you will be as well.

       First … the sad news. EC&M Apparel will not be putting any more clothing out.

      Now the Good news!!! … I’m restructuring and rebranding. That means brand new styles, brand new building, and lot of fun new stuff!
   My goal is to have everything ready to go by the first of February. It may seem like a long time, but there is just so much to do. EC&M will still be here till the new stuff is ready. I am also leaving everything at 50% off till the re-opening!!!  Many of the current outfits will be discontinued and retired to make room for the  new.
    The Blog address will stay the same, as will the LM to the shop, & the Subscribomatic Group. I will be starting up a new SL Group for those who want it. I will still offer lots of matching kids clothes as well.

   So why the change?
  
Well… in my heart it is time. When I started designing I had never intended to call the shoppe EC&M Apparel. EC&M is short of the name of my very first SL shop, Evolution Creations & Mystics. Some of you might remember those days. The Apparel side came as an offshoot of the metaphysics shop and was located in the same building, so the name made much more sense back then.

As time went on, Sis opened Oak Tree and the Clothing side moved there. Saddly, the Metaphysical shop closed. Since then “EC&M” just doesn’t feel right. So onward and upward as they say.

     What does the future hold?
    
New Fashions, new group gifts, more new resident help, photo contests, maybe Store cards, and so much more!

I want to thank all of you who have stuck by me this year. Without each of you EC&M would never have been possible. I hope you will all stay on and enjoy our new evolution …
